The Federation of Citizens’ Associations, the Greenspace Alliance and the Healthy Transportation Coalition this morning issued a media release decrying the absence of public consultation on the current review of Development Charges in Ottawa.

The Background reports and proposed by-law were released on the City’s web site mid-day Monday, April 28. This is headed for Planning Committee on May 13 and Council on June 11.

The Greenspace Alliance made a submission to Planning Committee on May 13. Find it here.

Planning Committee re-instated including charges for affordable housing and childcare facilities. A number of other amendments to the proposed by-law were made.  A few issues were referred to Council on June 11.
