On February 13, 2007, Planning and Environment Committee approved rezoning of yet another piece of land around and in the Wetland.

Submission by the Greenspace Alliance.

Submission by the Sierra Club of Canada.

Submission by the Ottawa Forests and Greenspace Advisory Committee.

UPDATE

On February 23, Council approved PEC’s recommendation.

The By-law giving effect to this approval was passed on March 29, 2007.

The Sierra Club of Canada and the Greenspace Alliance have appealed this rezoning to the Ontario Municipal Board (read the second appeal letter here). The hearing on this appeal will be consolidated with the appeal launched last October.
