For the November 2000 election, the Greenspace Alliance combined efforts with the Federation of Citizens’ Associations, Transport 2000 Ontario, Ottawa-Carleton’s Urban Ecosystem Stewardship Council and seven other groups to organize a mayoralty Debate on the Environment.  The debate was held on November 2 in a packed Andrew Haydon Hall.  Moderator was John Lacharity, then host of CBC Radio’s Ottawa Morning program.  The event was televised by Rogers TV and mayor
