We now know that the new Official Plan will be undergoing its first review starting this month and through 2026. This review will focus mostly on the land budget, not general OP policies. We can expect new population and household projections, updated housing projections by type and the determination of how much, if any, new greenfield land will be needed to accommodate projected housing demand. The GA has been invited to a stakeholder’s meeting on November 19 to discuss the methodology and assumptions that will be used for this purpose.
Action: The Chair to attend the stakeholders meeting and report on it.
